Are you entertaining for the upcoming holiday season?

What is your holiday dinner of choice? In my family we have traditions. The meal is always the same with my dads family – meatballs, scalloped potatoes, warm buns, green bean casserole and all made by my grandma. On Vicki’s side of the family the new tradition has been for each family to bring a different soup to pass since there are so many of us now. That has been a really fun dinner option, and is usually hard to decide which soup you actually want! And of course there are appetizers and bread choices for the soups!

But with both Christmas dinners there is one thing in common – DESSERT! There is always an overabundance of sweet treats for everyone to enjoy throughout the evening. It is a must to have the desserts scattered on different platters and tiered trays that usually takes up a whole counter at Vicki’s house.

Whatever your holiday dining traditions are it is always fun to break out the fancy dishes, serve ware, holiday linens, and glasses. We have special ones we only use once a year, but are always fun to bring out of the cupboards!
