Decorating your porch for the Christmas Holiday couldn’t be any easier!
We are onto the 3rd week of the “Deck the Home” blog hop this week! 25 very talented bloggers from around the web have put together a wonderful little hop for all kinds of holiday inspiration. Even though Thanksgiving is this Thursday we have been thinking Christmas for a while now! Vicki and I have been super busy getting our brick and mortar store ready for the holidays and it couldn’t look more festive! We are so excited! But we took a short break in order to bring you some porch inspiration for our hop!
If you missed the first two weeks of holiday inspirations, just take a peek back at them by clicking the links below:
For Vicki’s holiday porch we started by hanging this awesome greenery garland all along the perimeter of the doorway. We were really impressed with this garland – it looks really life-like! And greenery, whether faux or real just really warms up a space, and brings great color and texture.
Next we moved Vicki’s wooden wreath she created for the first week of the hop over onto her metal garden gate. We wanted to add a beautiful swag onto the door instead! (We actually carry those red berry swags in our store!) It was then easy to add in the red bench Vicki keeps on her porch year round and place the lanterns alongside it. We simply placed pillar candles wrapped in holiday ribbon inside them for a little festive color. Vicki stenciled the word “Joy” onto a lovely chippy barn board for some great height on this right side. We love the addition of the chippy white!
Over on the left-hand side of the door, we warmed up the space with a couple pillows, a lovely chunky knit throw, and a wooden plaque handmade by us. A vintage sled was placed behind that neat metal bench to balance out the height on this side. Those beautiful plaid pillows on both sides were also handmade by us! That is one of the neatest things about our porch this year. We handmade a bunch of the items you see here! (And if any of you are local, you will be able to find some of these items in our store this season!)
And to top off the festive spirit of our porch – we got a beautiful fluffy snowfall the night before we snapped our photos! It did make for a bit of a chilly photo shoot, but wow that snow looks so pretty! I think that also helped to put us in the holiday spirit!
Thanks for stopping by to see our porch and don’t forget to have a look at the other bloggers outdoor spaces as well! You can click through to their stories below. We will be back with our last installment of this holiday series in a couple weeks. Do you like to decorate your outdoor space for the holidays?! We hope we were able to inspire you and wish you luck in creating your own beautiful space!
