A little peek into Kristen’s home she decorated for fall…

If you have been following along with us you probably remember that my husband and I have a little rental in Wisconsin. I have really tried to make our small space very cozy without being able to make major changes to the house. Today I’m going to share with you all how I decorated our little home for fall! I created a bunch of fall vignettes I scattered around.

I didn’t have very many fall decorations at the beginning of the season, and had to DIY a couple things. I picked up that pretty white wooden pumpkin in the tray from Homegoods but everything else in the vignette (besides the real white pumpkins) were items I already had. The dried hydrangea was picked up last year at a local flea market, and the pine cones were purchased as a bundle vase filler a long time ago. (P.S. I absolutely love my seagrass tray! It works for every season.)

I am so in love with this pretty vignette! That seltzer bottle is a cool vintage find that I have decided I am going to start collecting. I love the unique colors they come in.

I don’t particularly like this bay window, it would have been a lot cooler if it was a window seat, but it works well for displaying my home decor! And that woven basket is now the perfect storage for all of my blankets and throws I need for the cold days ahead. (Find a similar basket here.)

For this vignette, I added that large wicker pumpkin, white pumpkins on my candle holders and more pine cones in the pretty wooden lantern.

The white pumpkin in the background is actually one I made out of an old sweater! This sweater pumpkin adds some really cozy texture next to the rough wicker pumpkin. For a tutorial to make your own, visit our DIY sweater pumpkin wreath post.

Here is a shot of the corner of our living room that has all of our decor. Our tv stand is an old sideboard that has been in my husband’s family for years. It was so beat up before I wasn’t even sure if I could fix it! It is a little small for our TV but we plan on making it a coffee bar when we get our own house. I only added a couple orange and yellow decor pieces this year. I wanted to stay fairly neutral with the whites and browns. But I had this little orange floral piece and thought it added a nice pop of color.

In the smaller jar, a few twigs and pussy willow pieces were added.

Below is the pediment shelf that is above our couch. Along with the tobacco basket and boxwood topiaries, I added this hand painted “Fall” sign along with some white pumpkins and gourds.

The garland was another DIY project for this year! It is the other item in the living room that has orange in it. To find out how to make your own pumpkin garland click here.

Then over in the kitchen area, all I did for our small table was add a couple gourds, white pumpkins, and dried hydrangeas to my dough bowl. That Ironstone pitcher was snatched from a local flea market, which is another item I am starting to collect!

I just love this centerpiece. Its simple and goes so well with the rest of the fall decor I have in the living room.

Over on the counter I added even more white pumpkins, pine cones, plus some of my grandma’s dishes.

On the other side, I used my second tobacco basket as a tray and added my antique kitchen scale, a pumpkin spice candle (yum!) and more white pumpkins and hydrangeas.

Below is another flea market find, a beautiful teal metal toolbox. It has the perfect amount of rusty-ness! I added a mixture of the same items, white pumpkins, gourds and hydrangeas.

(I styled it in the living room for pictures but it actually sits in our bedroom.)
